Class, the final comment I made about Shakespeare's comic relief (dark humor) that is a barbaric example of mob mentality and senseless violence got me thinking more about the student killed in Dudley last week. By all accounts, here was a young man shot because he happened to live in an area disliked by the shooter. Cinna the poet died for having the same name, this student's crime was living in Orchard Park. I need to do much more thinking about these connections, but it pains me that this can happen and that I am not more outraged.
