Dr. Jonathan Woodson is a nationally renowned trauma surgeon -- specializing in the recovery of lost limbs -- who has just been nominated by President Obama to be his top military doctor (Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs). In this position, Dr. Woodson will oversee the entire U.S. military health system around the globe.
As a trauma surgeon, Dr. Woodson has treated critically wounded soldiers in war zones around the world, including Iraq, Kosovo and Afghanistan. He also was a senior officer on the national disaster management team that responded to the 9/11 attack on New York City.
Dr. Woodson has many amazing stories and accomplishments to share with our students, and we would like to see as many of you as possible take this opportunity to meet him before he moves to Washington to join President Obama's team.
